2007 Allstate Sugar Bowl

I'm going to explain my feelings about this in more detail later in the week after I'm done with my last paper and have safely reached the haven of study days.

When it became official at 8:14 PM EDT that Notre Dame would be playing LSU on January 3rd in the Sugar Bowl, I had a vivid flashback of an early episode of The West Wing, when Toby winds up accidentally in the middle of a major insider-trading scandal because of a loose affiliation with some guy who testified before Congress about some random tech commodity. A transcript of what Toby said at the time:
