Don't Ever Give Up

Tomorrow night I will be in attendance at MSG to witness one of the better college basketball events of the season. Not only does the double header typically match 4 NCAA potential teams (notice the word "potential") but it also caps a great week devoted to the legendary Jimmy Valvano. For those not familar, Jimmy V, was a former National Championship coach at NC State who's live was prematurely taken by cancer. He gave one of the more inspirational speeches of all time at the ESPYs: I'm sure if you turn into the game tomorrow night you will hear it played several times.

In any event, this year's matchups include your favorite Mid Major, Notre Dame, against Bob Huggin's bastard child, Kansas State. The night cap, pits Memphrus frosh Derrick Rose against USC's diaper dandy, OJ Mayo (note Kansas State also has a top 5 freshman leading their team, hmm...which one of these teams doesn't belong?)

I'll have a full write up later this week. Go Irish.
